Community Guidelines — Debate Verdict: Debate

Last updated: May 26, 2026

Debate Verdict: Debate is a text-only debate app where users can post debates, choose For, Against, or Neutral, follow topics, write answers, comment, reply, chat, and take part in Community Verdicts. These guidelines help keep debates open, useful, and safe.

1) Debate ideas, not people
  • Challenge arguments, opinions, and claims — not someone’s identity or personal life.
  • Do not bully, harass, threaten, or target other users.
  • Strong disagreement is allowed, but personal attacks are not.
  • Use For, Against, or Neutral to make your position clear, not to attack others.
2) Use For, Against, and Neutral responsibly
  • For means you support the debate question or main idea.
  • Against means you disagree with or challenge the debate question.
  • Neutral means you want to add balance, context, or a middle-ground view.
  • Do not misuse sides to spam, troll, or confuse the discussion.
3) Keep debates safe
  • No threats or encouragement of violence.
  • No content that exploits, sexualizes, or endangers minors.
  • No doxxing or sharing private information such as addresses, phone numbers, IDs, or private screenshots.
  • No instructions or encouragement for harmful or dangerous behavior.
  • No harassment through debates, answers, comments, replies, chats, usernames, or profiles.
4) Keep it honest
  • No impersonation of another person, brand, public figure, or organization.
  • No scams, phishing, fake giveaways, or misleading links.
  • Do not intentionally manipulate Community Verdicts using spam or fake engagement.
  • If you share claims, try to debate in good faith and avoid intentionally misleading people.
5) No spam or platform abuse
  • No repetitive promotion, mass-posting, or low-effort spam.
  • No bot activity, fake accounts, or engagement manipulation.
  • No scraping, hacking, breaking features, or abusing the system.
  • Do not overload topics, comments, replies, or chats with repeated content.
6) Respect topics and conversations
  • Post debates under relevant topics when possible.
  • Do not intentionally derail serious debates with unrelated spam.
  • Comments and replies should add to the discussion, ask a question, challenge an argument, or respond to another user.
  • AI Remix and text filters should be used to improve expression, not to hide abuse or harassment.
7) Chats and group chats
  • Private chats and group chats must follow the same safety rules as public debates.
  • No harassment, threats, scams, exploitation, or unwanted repeated messages.
  • Users can block unwanted interactions and report harmful behavior.
8) Reporting, blocking, and enforcement
  • Use Report for rule-breaking content, unsafe behavior, spam, harassment, or safety concerns.
  • Use Block to stop unwanted interactions with another user.
  • We may remove debates, posts, answers, comments, replies, messages, topics, or profiles that violate these rules.
  • We may limit features, suspend accounts, or permanently ban accounts depending on severity and repeat behavior.
  • Serious safety violations may lead to immediate account removal and, where required, reporting to appropriate authorities or safety organizations.

These guidelines may be updated as Debate Verdict: Debate grows and new features are added.
